Beaver Lake from the northern side of the trail

Beaver Lake has always been a favorite walk, and it's been a respite in post-Helene Asheville, with other places that I'd normally walk inaccessible or unappealing.

This morning didn't disappoint.  The view on a still day brought reflections to the water.  Quite a wonderful view embracing a side of the lake that I don't often see;  in this case, Helene had cleared out trees that obscured this view before.

  1. That's a beautiful view. It resembles scenes here in my part of S. Wisconsin. Kind of a savannah habitat (trees, but open areas, too--not a thick forest...and lakes). Very nice. Thanks for sharing. :)
