Into September

There have been a couple of chilly nights, followed by warm days (if you consider 70° F warm).  It's warm for here this time of year, although not back in North Carolina.  I think it was 79° F there today, so definitely cooler than it's been.

On a wonderful hike today, we spotted two molting deer, enjoyed the company of our friends, and saw the excellent views from the La Pinede trail.

I wish I'd taken photos from the other overlook today, too.  Apparently, I hadn't before!

Nevertheless, we spotted several deer along the trail, healthy ones foraging vigorously.
