View of the Gulf of St. Lawrence from Le Sentier des Coulombe

A series of new trails in St. Fabien rewarded us this afternoon with wonderful views towards the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Made possible by public access to private property, this trail network adds another nice hike over a nicely maintained up and down-hill trail (the segment we walked this afternoon).

There are nice interpretative signs along the way, talking about historic aspects of St. Fabien-sur-Mer (good for French practice). Here's a photo that Tim took of me checking out this sign.

Additional viewpoints found us admiring the farm fields below, as would have the loop trail return, if we'd taken it (it may involved a tricky rope descent, so we decided to return another day).  Our first visit to this trail network provided experience with a rope ascent. It wasn't expected, after a walk along a rolling log road.

But, I'm totally glad that this trail exists.  I'll be adding it to my daily walk routine.
