Lupines
Tim grew these lupines from seed. They're lovely this year, striking in their upright flowering. They replaced Bishop's weed, an undesirable plant. Although lupines self-seed readily, and these are of unknown origin, they're probably progeny of cultivated lupines from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, from many years ago, now happy here in Eastern Quebec.
Lupines are tough; we saw them naturalized in Argentina - not invasive, but naturalized in the dry, rocky soil in that place.
