Coming home

I wrote this piece last fall, about coming home to the Northern Appalachians, in the online Canadian Font magazine, after a year and half away. I'd post it directly, but don't remember how long the limitation goes, before we can repost a piece.

Returning today, after three days of traveling from North Carolina, I feel that similar sense of coming home. 

We have two wonderful homes, which I'm grateful for; but they're equal now, as we walk around our very early spring garden here in Quebec. Delightful to see our favorites emerging, as we wait for more.

I'm thankful that we had safe travels and all is well.

It's good to be home here again, in a very emerging spring garden.
