Holidays

We were so glad that our French HomeExchange couple made it to our house in Quebec.  They sent us a lovely photo of having their first meal there.  They’ll be there for two weeks, visiting their son, just before we hopefully will return ourselves.

We’ll be having a Austrian Christmas dinner this year, in honor of my husband’s grandmother and his recently acquired Austrian citizenship. A good friend will be joining us for dinner. Lovely to have her, if that’s good. These are still challenging times.

It’ll be a pasture-raised pork loin, knoedel, and red cabbage, with traditional Christmas cookies for dessert. Perfect, I think. I thought I took a photo of my cookies, but apparently not.  This lovely hoarfrost image from yesterday is fine, too.
