A vintage Romertopf

My heritage is German, Dutch, and Scandinavian, so I was delighted when my sister found this vintage Romertopf at the library thrift store where she volunteers in her small town in New Mexico.

Send it to me, I wrote. And so she did.

It’s a delightful addition to my studio here in Asheville. It sits above my grandparents’s bookshelves, full of my books that made it here to our smaller house.
