Lovage pesto

We've been here a month now, gardening, biking and hiking.  Lots to do: we have an acre and a half of garden to maintain, with veggies and fruits trees coming along.

My biggest garden revelation so far (among many) has been how robust the lovage is, planted a couple of seasons ago.  What do you do with giant lovage stalks, I wondered?

The petioles are edible, but not delicious, but the leaves turn out to make delicious pesto, thanks to a Google search uncovering this suggestion:

Yum, the pesto that I made was totally delicious.  There will be more to come, as the plant is robust! It really needs to be in a different spot, so I'll try to transplant part of it sometime soon.
