A beautiful purple lilac
We have lots of lilacs in our landscape here in Quebec. More than enough, actually.
But this one next to our parking area is special. It was overgrown when we bought our house here, flowering profusely on new wood in our first year, but overpowering its space.
Now it's rebounding after pruning and is lovely.
Lovely! I wish the blooms lasted longer--mine are done for the season. The scent is amazing, too, isn't it?
